I think that the tools we learned about in class today and applied to our blog can be really helpful as teachers. A blog could be set up as a way to update parents about what is going on in the classroom. RSS feeds could then be added that would show updates to school websites, important news information, and other updates that are important for the students and parents to know.
Goodreads is also a great ideas. Teachers could "friend" each other and then share different books and lesson ideas through this line of communication. Teachers could also set up groups with their students where the students could actually write reviews and opinions of the books they read.
